Scrap wood piece from local sawmill in Credition, mid Devon made into a wall hanging  with a wood burnt Beetle design added using the pyrography method.
 
Inspired by the beautiful creatures around my garden and the surrounding areas, I am always drawn to recreating insects. I loved creating this piece, adding the vibrant greens and blue acrylic to emphasise their iridescent colouring. 
 
Wire hung, finished with 2 layers of matt lacquer for protection.
