Larch slice from local boat builder in Devon made into a wall hanging with a wood burnt Turnstones design added using the pyrography method. 

Inspired on a trip to St. Ives in Cornwall. They are such curious creatures that I could hold my camera on the ground and they would simply walk up to it and check it out as I took the photos. Absolute delight to create this piece with added white acrylic to emphasise their trademark colouring. 
 
Wire hung, finished with 2 layers of matt lacquer for protection.
