This is a  cherry  wood offcut from an arborist in Crediton, mid Devon. He couldn't imagine what I was going to do with that 'scrap', well I  made into a wall hanging with a Grey Squirrel and Blue Tit design created using acrylic paint and sealed.
 
The squirrel is a regular visitor to my garden as it is where their Autumn nut stash appears to be, giving me plenty of opportunities to video and gather reference. The Blue Tit birds are a plenty too so thought I would pair them up on this beautifully shaped piece.  
 
Complete with metal wire hanger, finished with 3 layers of matt lacquer for protection.
