This is part of a driftwood plank washed up at Slapton Sands in South Devon made into a wall hanging with a Tawny Owl design created using acrylic paint and sealed.
 
She is inspired by a chick that was raised in our owl box two years ago, I name her Blossom as she grew up during the Bramley Apple blossom season. Such a priviledge to witness but admit to being sad when you flew the nest box. 
 I loved making this piece, adding the vibrant blue acrylic to emphasise it's bright colouring.
 
Complete with sawtooth metal hanger, finished with 3 layers of matt lacquer for protection.
