Spalted Oak discard from a local builder in Devon , made into a wall hanging wood tile with a wood burnt Grey Heron design added using pyrography mwthod. 
Behind a complimentary frame and glass, finished with a little acrylic paint to emphasise the subtle colours of these beautiful creatures.
I am lucky enough to be able to spot these birds near to me at the Slapton, Ley Nature Reserve near Torcross in Devon.
